First, use a broom to remove any excess dust and dirt.
Next, we recommend using one cup of white vinegar with a gallon of warm water to clean hardwood floors. Only use a damp mop or rag, not one that is dripping wet.
Do not leave any standing water on the floors as that can damage and permanently stain floors. It's a good idea to have several soft cloth rags available to mop up any extra water.
We recommend this method because the mixture will not damage the finish on floors and it's pet-friendly. The faint vinegar smell will quickly fade. Also, some commercial cleaning products can actually damage or stain floors.
