little free library

Live Green Apartments has installed a Little Free Library outside of the Dales apartment building located at 622 Grand Avenue.  This is the first Little Free Library on Grand Avenue.  The mission of the Little Free Libraries is to promote literacy and community connections.  There are bins located in our laundry rooms where residents can donate books for this library.

622 Grand - Little Free Libary

At our Library we have children's books along with fiction and non-fiction books.  This is not only a great resource for our residents but also for our neighbors and the people who live in the community.  We have donation boxes in our laundry rooms so residents can contribute books to this library.

The concept for the Little Library is very simple: take a book, leave a book.

There are over 20 Little Libraries in Saint Paul!  Click here for a map of the libraries located in St.Paul.

The full mission of Little Free Libraries is to:

  • To promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.
  • To build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity, and wisdom across generations
  • To build more than 2,510 libraries around the world - more than Andrew Carnegie--and then more.

Anybody can put a library in their yard.  More information can be found at
